This helps engineers not just in the bring up phase and hardware testing but it saves time along the entire design and production phase. Electrical engineers that we have surveyed have said that usually when a design it’s nice to see it helps them understand clearly the return path for high speed signals , if the differential pairs have their phase compensated in the right place and other signal integrity concerns. Overall helps them spot much easier which area the weak spots of the design and where to focus the improvements on placement of critical decoupling capacitors or routing of high frequency signals. Also the cross talk issues or jitter on fast switching signals will be examined much faster. A clear design that is not auto routed by a person or software will clear the path for a successful hardware product.
When a post layout simulation will be run on the board the pass results will come much faster and with less iterations of layout if the pcb design is clean and beautiful.
